Apartment buildings and stacked houses often are equipped with a CLV-system, in which several boilers are connected to one shared flue.
From the roof fresh air is drawn in via the outside tube, and the exhaust flues are blown out to the roof via the inside tube.
In the seventies these CLV-systems, ideal for Improved efficiency-boilers, were widely applied.
In September 2015 the high efficiency-boiler was introduced, causing the former CLV-systems to become inadequate due to the acid condensation released by the high effinciency boiler. This condensation, with a pH of 3,0-3,5 damages the systems, and even dissolves concrete.
RZ-Ecoseal applies a new inflammable inside tube in the CLV-system, which seals leaking holes and cracks, caused by failures of the central heating systems.
Currently we are conducting durability tests at Intergas in Coevorden, to test the resistance of RZ-Ecoseal to the acid condensation.
